Husky Vision: The Death of NBS

NBS changes their name to Husky Vision!
Due to COVID-19’s impact, many campus organizations suffered in student activity and could not return to their previous numbers from before COVID-19 hit. After years of struggling to stay afloat, former National Broadcasting Society (NBS) finally gained a large increase in membership. They decided to rebrand the club’s name to Husky Vision, alongside their new executive board and new media equipment in the resurrected McCormick building.
The president of Husky Vision, Eric Wood, spoke about the name change.
“We wanted to bring forward a new name that better reflects what we do. Additionally, the National Broadcasting Society is no longer a national organization, so we adopted a name that is our very own!”
Husky Vision’s most recent projects include the continuation of NBS’s Cooking Show and TikTok content. In their newest TikTok video, the team asked students on campus what the most overused Halloween costumes are. Watch the video on their TikTok page @BloomsburgNBS!

PRSSA Goes to the Big Apple 🍎
Hello, New York City! PRSSA learned about the history of PR and its founders from their recent visit to the Public Relations Museum in NYC.

PRSSA at The Museum of Public Relations
CU-Bloomsburg’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) teaches students real-world PR experience by working with local businesses and promoting them through social media marketing.
PRSSA students go on one trip each semester to universities, businesses and more. They recently visited Bucknell University and heard from Kevin O’Leary from Shark Tank, who shared valuable leadership and business insight.
